Report on the Panel Discussion - “Revisiting the Social Contract: Imperatives for the Future” documents a high-level policy dialogue organised by the Public Affairs Centre (PAC) to commemorate India's 75th year of Independence and reflect on the evolving relationship between the State and its citizens. The discussion brought together distinguished policymakers, legal experts, academicians, and public policy practitioners to examine the relevance of the Constitution as India's social contract, with deliberations on constitutional values, democratic institutions, governance, social and economic justice, digital rights, inequality, and the role of civil society.
