Evaluation Study on Impact Assessment of Swachh Bharat Mission

This report evaluates the impact of the scheme across five districts- Chikkaballapur, Dharwad, Hassan, Chitradurga and Raichur. Responses were collected from beneficiaries and scheme staff alike, using the Public Affairs Centre’s flagship survey tool- Citizen Report Card (CRC). Quantitative as well as qualitative methodologies were used to arrive at results within a Realist Impact Evaluation framework anchored in 3E’s- Equity, Efficiency and Effectiveness. Across districts, Dharwad indicated a better performance than others.
