Prof. T. S. Syamala is Professor and Head of the Population Research Centre at the Institute for Social and Economic Change (ISEC), Bengaluru. A population scientist with over two decades of academic and research experience, her work focuses on population studies, public health, ageing, gender, and social policy. Her research has contributed significantly to understanding demographic transitions, reproductive health, ageing and well-being, health inequalities, and gender issues in India. She has published extensively in national and international peer-reviewed journals and has participated in several collaborative research initiatives, including the Indo-European Network Project on Ageing and Well-being in a Globalised World.
