Ar. Soumitro Ghosh is an architect, educator, and design thinker with over three decades of professional experience in architecture, urban design, sustainability, and interdisciplinary design practice. He is Partner at Mathew and Ghosh Architects, a Bengaluru-based practice co-founded with Nisha Mathew in 1995. Educated at the School of Architecture, CEPT Ahmedabad, he previously worked with Pritzker Laureate B.V. Doshi and other leading architects before establishing the practice. His work spans architecture, urban planning, conservation, interiors, exhibition design, furniture, public art, and product design, with a strong emphasis on the intersections of culture, history, politics, philosophy, and the built environment. He has taught, lectured, and served as a juror at numerous academic institutions in India and internationally, and currently serves as the Design Chair at the Kamla Raheja Institute for Architecture and Environmental Studies (KRVIA), Mumbai.
