Prof. Pranab Mukhopadhyay is an environmental and development economist with over three decades of experience in teaching, research, and public policy. He is Senior Professor of Economics at the Goa Business School, Goa University, and serves as Vice-Dean (Research). His work focuses on environmental economics, ecosystem services, sustainable development, public finance, institutions, and economic growth. He has previously worked as an Environmental Economist with the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), Nepal, and has held leadership positions in the Indian Society for Ecological Economics (INSEE), including serving as its President (2016-2018). He is currently the Editor of Ecology, Economy and Society – The INSEE Journal.
