Dr. Prashanth N. Srinivas is a physician, public health researcher, and health systems specialist with over two decades of experience in health policy, health systems research, and community-engaged public health. He is currently the Director of the Institute of Public Health (IPH), Bengaluru. His work focuses on advancing health equity through interdisciplinary research on Indigenous (Adivasi) health, health systems strengthening, social determinants of health, planetary health, One Health, mental health, and participatory research methods. He leads the DBT/Wellcome Trust-funded Centre for Training, Research and Innovation in Tribal Health and has contributed extensively to theory-driven and realist evaluation approaches in public health. Dr. Srinivas has authored more than 100 peer-reviewed publications, serves on the editorial boards of leading international public health journals, and collaborates with global institutions including the World Health Organization (WHO). He is also actively involved in promoting open knowledge, citizen science, and ecological sustainability through platforms such as Wikipedia, iNaturalist, and eBird.
