Prabhash Chandra Ray is a senior Indian Forest Service (IFS) officer with over three decades of experience in forest governance, biodiversity conservation, environmental policy, and public administration. A 1993-batch Indian Forest Service (IFS) officer of the Karnataka cadre, he has held several senior leadership positions in the Government of Karnataka, overseeing forest conservation, wildlife management, ecological restoration, and environmental governance. He has played an important role in shaping policies related to forest administration, wildlife protection, and sustainable natural resource management in the state.
