Nandan Nawn is an economist. He uses the lenses offered by transdisciplinary ecological economics in research and writing. His works are situated at the cusp of environment and development. He currently serves as the RBI Chair Professor at the Centre for Economic Studies and Planning, Jawaharlal Nehru University, on lien leave from the Department of Economics, Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI). With over 25 years of experience across academia, research, and policy, he has taught at TERI School of Advanced Studies, the West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences, and the University of Delhi before joining JMI. His writings span economic and ecological dimensions of sustainability, bio-econom, climate finance and environmental governance. He has contributed significantly to national policy initiatives, academic publishing and capacity building in ecological economics.
