Kaushal Kishore is a Professor of Practice at the Arun Jaitley National Institute of Financial Management (AJNIFM), an autonomous institution under the Ministry of Finance, Government of India. He is a 1990-batch officer of the Indian P&T Accounts and Finance Service (IP&TAFS) and superannuated as Senior Deputy Director General, Department of Telecommunications. He has extensive experience in public finance, economic policy, telecommunications, postal services, public procurement, regulation, competition policy, government budgeting and financial management. During his career, he held operational and policy-making positions across the Department of Telecommunications, Department of Posts, Competition Commission of India (CCI), and Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI). He also served for seven years with TRAI as Adviser and Principal Adviser & Financial Adviser. At AJNIFM, he teaches Economics to Civil Services probationers and serves as Programme Director for public procurement programmes, while also handling accreditation matters and the Indian Knowledge System Cell.
