Amit Yadav is a retired Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer (AGMUT Cadre, 1991 Batch) with over 35 years of experience in public administration, public policy, urban governance, telecommunications, trade policy, and social justice. During his career, he held several senior leadership positions in the Government of India, including Secretary, Department of Social Justice and Empowerment, Chairperson of the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC), Director General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), Additional Secretary, Department of Commerce, and Joint Secretary, Department of Telecommunications. His work has focused on public policy formulation, urban governance, trade facilitation, telecommunications, municipal administration, and social welfare. He has also represented India internationally as Counsellor to the World Trade Organization (WTO), Geneva.
