INTERNATIONAL ANTI-CORRUPTION DAY

December 9th is observed as International Anti-Corruption Day.  Forums fighting against corruption along with Right to Information Forums in Bangalore are organizing dharna (protest) to observe the International Anti-Corruption Day.

Coalition Against Corruption, initiated by Public Affairs Centre along with five other city based NGOs has joined the hands of like minded groups (please refer the list below) to organize a “dharana” on Sunday 9th Dec 2007. Prior to this the groups are presenting a ten point memorandum to the Governor of Karnataka and request him to take action on the same.

On the day of dharana, members gather at the Mahatma Gandhi statue on MG road from 11 am in the morning and stay till 4 pm in the evening. Master Hirannayya, a well known theatre personality who has been enthusing people to fight against corruption through his plays, has kindly consented to take part in the dharana.
